TeamPlay for Less Stress

TeamPlay for Less Stress uniquely combines theatrical improvisation with cutting-edge therapeutic and stress reduction strategies to help students and staff productively deal with the stress that comes with life pressures and uncertainty.

Through a site-based series of workshops, TeamPlay for Less Stress engages students in creating classroom environments that encourage creativity, support emotional openness, and build a mindful awareness of the link between effective stress management and individual performance.

Our experience as New York educators, therapists, performers and mediators provides the foundation for these workshops. We draw heavily on Lev Vygotsky’s understanding of human development, performance-based approaches to group building, and the working goals (of self-management and teamwork) of the Emotional Intelligence framework as described by Daniel Goleman.

The program combines the experience of improvisational group work with the practice of cutting edge stress management techniques to improve classroom dynamics and create a better environment. TeamPlay offers a fun, interactive, and developmental way to deal with anxiety and stress.
